The Main differences between Safety and Security Films as opposed to Solar Films:
1. To increase strength and resistance from breakage and puncture.
2. Safety and Security films are coated with a thicker pressure sensitive material and contain stronger adhesives. This provides greater elasticity and a gives 'shock-absorbing' qualities

Tough, resilient Armorcoat safety and security window
films are composed of incredibly strong, opticalquality
polyester, high-grade ultraviolet inhibitors
and special laminating and mounting adhesives, with
a protective, scratch-resistant coating.
Application: Commercial Premises (primarily)

Armourcoat from 100 micron to 350 micron available in variety of solar control and clear options. Primarily designed to increase safety of existing glass in the event of personal impact or explosion. Shatter resistant it can also create a substantial degree of security.

Safety Films : Economical and widely used film that meets BS6262 and BS6206:81 classes AB & C.
Site Applications : Schools, Older buildings, Shop fronts, offices and situations where old glass need not be changed, but brought up to current legislation with film application only.
Security Films : More difficult to penetrate and normally thicker, used in areas vulnerable to attack. Meets BS5544 parts 1,2 and 3.
Site Applications : High street shops, High rise offices and Government establishments.
